The top two seed Parthav Kelkar and Shubham Ambre easily sailed into the third round in the Youth Boys competition of the Malabar Hill Club 5-Star Mumbai City District TT Championship 2018, conducted under the auspices of the MCDTTA and played at the Malabar Hill Club on Monday.
In second round encounters, Kelkar prevailed over Jay Mistry in straight games winning at 11-2, 11-4, 11-8, while Ambre outplayed Karan Bhanuse as he coasted to a fluent 11-1, 11-2, 11-8 victory.
Third seed, Tanmay Rane was also a comfortable winner against Sahil Patil recording a 11-5, 11-3, 11-6 win, while fourth seed Atharva Kurade had a bit of wobble before taking out Vatsau Roongta in four games at 11-4, 8-11, 11-3, 11-9 to also advance to the third round.
