Dr. Cheryl Misquitta has once again earned the trust and confidence of the Bandra Gymkhana members as she along with her panel ‘The Transformation Team’ recorded a landslide victory in the recent 87th Annual General Body Meeting and Elections of Bandra Gymkhana earlier this week.

A huge number of 1348 ballot papers were issued but only 1300 ballot papers were valid for counting, 44 papers were invalid and four ballot papers were not cast in the box.
The affable Dr. Misquitta was once again voted as the people’s President for a 4th term (2023-2025) and her team was also elected by a thumping majority. Misquitta polled a whopping 864 votes while her rivals Glenn D’Silva and Ryan Ryan Fonseca got 365 and 71 points respectively.
“I am humbled by the trust and faith bestowed upon me and my team once again. I thank each one of you members for your unwavering support and love. I promise you that we will together safeguard our beloved Institution, the vision of our Founding Fathers and take it to even greater heights. This victory is the victory of each of you and yes together, we can overcome every challenge, every obstacle, Dr. Misquiita mentioned.
The six elected Managing Committee members from ‘The Transformation Team’ were Glenn Athaide (893 votes), Theresa Aguiar (858), Sunil Gonsalves (852), Derrick Drego (836), Bruce Fernandes (798) and Merck D’Silva (784).
