St Joseph’s (Umerkhadi) showed good understanding and team as they outplayed posting a 5-1 win in a Men’s Open match of the 44th Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana Annual Rink Football Tournament 2024, played under floodlights at the WCG courts.
The hero of St. Joseph’s win was Dominic Alphonso who hit the target twice while teammates Benjamin Rodrigues, Joseph Cardoz, and Bonnie Fernandes chipped in with one goal each to complete the winning tally, while Valerian Fernandes struck St Anne’s lone goal.
In another match, St Anthony’s, Dadar defeated Spartans FC 3-1. Revilino Fernandes, Agnelo Lobo and Godfrey D’Souza scored a goal each for the winners. Ram Sharma found the net for Spartans.
