Dev Shroff in the boys under-14 and Bespectacled Yajat Thanawala in boys under-17 played stellar roles in their respective finals to bring Jamnabai Narsee twin successes in the DSO- Mumbai Suburban District Inter-School Table Tennis Tournament, organized by Vision Sports Reconnect and Fairplay Sports Management at Goregaon Sports Club here today.
JMNABAI NARSEE-U-14-WINNERS
Like in their earlier taluka level final, Yajat had to bring out best to quell the spirited challenge of his opponents before clinching the tie. Yajat first beat Shubham Shinde 9-11, 14-12, 11-4, 11-6, and then squeezed past Parth Rambhiya 11-3, 9-11, 13-11, 9-11, 12-10 to bag the under-17 title for his school. However, Dev Shroff did face some anxious moments against Jash Jobalia before he triumphed 7-11, 11-5, 11-4, 4-11,11-2 in the crucial under-14 tie that brought his school another title.
The boys from Sathaye college , earlier winners in the Andheri Taluka level title, once again came on top, beating Mithbai College 3-0.
