Desperadoes SC scored an equalizing goal at the death to force a 2-2 draw with Steadfast FC ‘A’ in a closely fought First Division encounter of the MDFA Leagues 2017-2018, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Thursday.
Striker Roshan Karmaran struck the first goal to give Desperadoes the lead in the 14 minute and a slender first half 1-0 advantage. But after switching ends Oliver Benis scored two quick goals in the 48th and 49th minutes to give Steadfast a 2-1 lead before Ethen Kallat snatch a late goal in additional period to help Desperadoes salvage a draw.
Earlier in a Second Division encounter, Team Lycans proved too strong as they blanked Fire Dragons 3-0. Strikers Mahesh Tahaliyani, Suraj Dudani and Satvik Mittal, all scored a goal each to seal Team Lycans victory.
Results – First Div: Steadfast FC ‘A’ 2 (Oliver Benis 2) drew with Desperadoes SC 2 (Roshan Karmaran, Ehten Kallat).
Second Div: Team Lycans 3 (Mahesh Tahaliyani, Suraj Dudani, Satvik Mittal) beat Fire Dragons 0.
