Dena Bank put up a determined performance to register a stunning 1-0 win against Western Railway SA in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2018-2019 and played at the Western Railway football ground, Mahalaxmi.
The hosts Western Railway were caught off-guard when Dena Bank striker Rohnit Jain from a snap effort scored in the eighth minute to give his team an early lead, which they managed to hold on to till the final whistle to emerge victors and collect all the three points.
In another match, Kenkre FC rallied to hold Companeroes SC to a 1-1 drAW. Yash Angre was on target in the second minute for Companeroes, while Kamran Siddiqui scored Kankre’s equalizer in the 79th minute.
