Mumbai Warriors put up a good fighting display and carved out a narrow 1-0 win against Salcette FC in a well-contested Super Division match of the MDFA Leagues 2017-18 and played at the Goans Sports Association ground on Sunday. Midway through the first half, Satwik Dabholkar scored from a direct free-kick to give Warriors the lead, which they managed to hold on to till the final whistle to seal the win and pocket the full three points.
In another match, Sea View SC got the better of Mumbai Muslims by a 3-2 margin. For Sea View the goals came through Abhijit Tamare, Shrikant Vermula and Rohan Shukla, while Mumbai Muslims scored through Faizan K. and Atif Ansari.
