Cricket coaching camp opening


The Centre of Excellence for Cricket, a high profile coaching scheme with ex-India and Mumbai opener Wasim Jaffer as head coach, took off with 35 boys in under-14 and under-16 age groups today at Oval Maidan. The opening day saw the boys going through batting and bowling as well as fitness drill under the watchful eyes of Mr Wasim Jaffer.

Former Sri lanka legendary fast bowler Chaminda Vaas  will be joining  the Centre shortly, according  Mr Jwala Singh, the Director of Coaching. Apart from Vaas and Wasim, former Mumbai Ranji players, Vinayak Samant  (in batting) and Santosh Shinde (in bowling ) will also be assisting them.
