Park Club’s Vishal Gehani showed excellent touch and charged past Deependra Pinkyar of Shivaji Park Gymkhana by cruising to a 405-91 points win in the time format (1 hour) Group-E match of the SPG-PCL Billiards Tournament 2022, and played at the Shivaji Park Gymkhana and Park Club billiards halls.
Gehani struck the balls with regular consistency and compiled five notable breaks of 86, 61, 52, 43 and 31 to complete a comprehensive victory and now has won all his four matches in the 6-player group.
In another match of the same group, Anand Rahuvanshi of P.J. Hindu Gymkhana made of break of 48 points and went on to hand Anil Sagar of Matoshree Club a 204-118 victory.
Sanjiv Bijlani of Park Club had a mixed day as he successfully won his first match defeating Akshay G. (MCF) 248-197 in a Group-F match. But, he was unable to maintain the winning momentum and suffered a defeat at hands of Shivaji Park Club’s cueist Sanket B. losing by a big 159-336 points margin. Sanket compiled useful breaks of 40 and 39 to secure his win.
In Group-H encounters, Karan Makwana of Central Railway Mechanical Institute rolled past NSCI cueist Sagar Desai winning at 157-95, while contest between seasoned billiards players Amit Sapru of Park Club got the better of Shivaji Park Club’s Shekhar Surve 202-140 points difference.
