Sea View SC powered by the hard-working efforts of Conroy Remedious who scored a brace of goals went on to defeat WSD (Wadala, Sewri & Dadar) United by a 3-1 margin in Senior Men’s match of the 42nd Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana rink hockey tournament, played at the floodlit WCG turf.

In an exciting encounter, Remedious was solid in both attack and defence and his presence ensured Sea View came out trumps. He was well-supported by Vijay Panchal who scored the third goal to seal the win. Francis Fernandes scored WSD’s lone goal.
In a Women’s Open encounter, the formidable Western Railway scored a perfect 10 defeating a young and inexperienced Duruleo SC 10-0. Leading Western Railway’s charge was Manisha Chavan and Vertina Rawat both scoring a hat-trick of goals each, Anupa Barla scored a brace of goals while Pinky Devi and Lily Chan added one each to complete the winning tally.
