KSA Veterans tournament
Defending champions Air India soared past a gritty Mumbai Customs by snatching a solitary goal 1-0 win in the concluding Group-A league match of the 2nd Late Shri Vishwanath Anchan Memorial Veterans’ Football Tournament 2019, organized and hosted by the Karnatak Sporting Association at the Karnatak SA ground, Cross Maidan on Thursday.
Air India struck the decisive winner through Simon Pascal D’Souza in the first half. The Air India outfit with four points have now qualified for the semi-finals. Both Air India and Customs had earlier drawn goalless with Tarun Sporting the third team in the group.
In a group-C encounter, Tiger Foundation got the better of Priya Darshani Park 3-0. Rahul Raichand netted a brace of goals and Francis got one to complete Tiger’s win.
Tiger Foundation and Central Railway, both finished with an identical number of four points. But, the railwaymen with a better goal-difference advanced to the semi-finals from this group and will meet Air India on Friday.
Karnatak SA having won both their matches in Group-D also progressed to the penultimate round and will clash with Bandra Packers.

Group-B: Golden Gunners 0 drew with Alfa Football Academy 0.
Group-C: Tiger Foundation 3 (Rahul Raichand 2, Francis) beat Priya Darshani Park 0.
