Mathew Chacko’s double strikes were the highlight of Indigo FC’s fluent 2-0 win against a spirited Mumbai Warriors Under-19 in a Third Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Thursday. After the first half failed to produce a goal, Chacko twice found the back of the net to help Indigo clinch the issue in their favour and pocket all the three points.
In another match of the same division, FC Mithagar and Skorost United shared the spoils as they played out a 1-1 draw. FC Mithagar did well to the lead through Ashutosh Jadhav’s first half strike, but Skorost fought back and managed to restore parity with Rohit Sawant netting the equalizer in the second period of the match.
