Century Rayon blanked Steadfast SC 2-0 in a Group-D First Division play-off match of the District Football Association (MDFA) league 2015-2016, and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Tuesday.
Shopam Linglang (20th minute)and Manohar Sakia (88th minute) scored a goal each for Century Rayon who have now qualified for the semi-finals and have earned promotion to the Super Division next season.
In the semi-final, Century Rayon will take on Reserve Bank of India who qualified from Group-B.
