Central Bank of India struck prime form and charged to an authoritative 6-0 victory against Kenkre FC in an Elite Division Group-B play-off match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2018-2019 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Monday.
The Central Bank outfit took time to settle down, but once they got into their stride they scored at regular intervals to knock the fight out of their opponents.
Strikers Brandon Picardo and Yogesh Kadam both scored two goals each, while Nimesh Shetty and Shubam Pose netted one each to round off the winning tally.
This was Central Bank’s third straight win and they have topped the group and qualifies for the semi-finals. Air India with six points from two wins finished second and have also progressed to the semi-finals.
