Central Bank ride to 4th win on Kamran’s fine hat-trick


 Producing another strong domineering performance, Central Bank of India charged to a commanding 8-0 victory against Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) in the Elite Division League match played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Tuesday evening.

Central Bank maintained their impressive winning run of form and from the opening whistle dominated play to put the ESIC citadel under tremendous pressure and hit the target at regular intervals as they went into the break with a healthy 4-0 advantage.

The star performer of Central Bank’s comprehensive win was their ace shooter Kamran Ansari who notched up another hat-trick, his second in three games.  

The other strikers who played the perfect supporting role were Hafiz Khan and Kaushik Zadiwala, both scoring a brace of goals each while Mustafa Shaikh netted one to complete Central Bank’s winning tally.

This was the fourth successive victory for the formidable Central Bank who with an all-win record has collected 12 points. The bankers who are in top form had registered facile wins in the previous three rounds defeating Union Bank of India 5-2 in the first game they then blanked Income Tax 4-0 with Kamran Ansari scoring all the four goals. In the last match, Central Bank outplayed Western Railway by posting a fluent 5-1 victory.
