Castle Boys Sports Club recorded a fluent 3-0 win against Tarun Mitra Mandal in a First Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2019-2020 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Sunday. The winners enjoyed a 1-0 half-time lead.
In a well-contested match, Castle Boys opened the scoring when Yelstyn D;Souza found the back of the net in the 38th minute to give his team a slender 1-0 lead at the break. Later, Tanish Shetty scored the second in the 45th minute before Mandal’s Mithilesh Kolwankar scored an own goal in the 73rd minute.
In another match, Tata Power SC got the better of Mother Teresa SC by a 2-1 margin. Royston Aranjo and Roche Mascarenhas were on target for Tata Power while Daryl Varghese netted the lone goal for the losers.
