Shahen, who has scored 64, 48,0, 114, 40, 58 during the league phase, had another fine knock of 64 in the semifinal, which  helped his side to a formidable  score of 186 for nine off the allotted  20 overs.  Shahen was well supported by man-of-the-match Lavesh Mehra (41) and Santosh Singh (36).

Chasing such a huge  total, Shivaji Park opener Amar Padhye batted aggressively for his 70, which included 10 fours and three sixes.  But his proved to be the one-man battle as rest of the batsmen, just could not get going before they were all out for 153.

In the other low-scoring semifinals, Juhu Heroes outplayed Worli Pitch Smashers by six wickets. After bundling out the Worli Smashers for 78, the Juhu batsmen batted unhurriedly to reach their target with six wickets to spare.
