MDFA Women’s League
Holders Bodyline FC had to work hard for their narrow 2-1 win against a spirited Bandra United in a well-contested Women’s League match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016 and played at the Karnatak Sporting Association ground, Cross Maidan. Consistent scorer Levanah Divekar and Kimberely Fernandes were on target with a goal apiece for the winning side, while Kushboo Rathod pulled one back for the Bandra outfit.
In another match, Fr. Agnel Red recorded a fluent 2-0 win against Football Leaders Academy. Nevilla Colaco and Valencia Fernandes struck one goal each to secure Fr. Agnel’s victory.
Meanwhile, Kenkre FC did well to hold Aadhar Pratishthan SC to a tame goalless draw.
