Collegian Bhavitvya Shah played a stellar role as Gomantak Sports Club ‘A’ defeated Supreme Table Tennis Academy 3-1 to bag the second division honours in the MSDTTA inter-club table tennis league, hosted by Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana recently.

Bhavitvya first defeated Sahil Javkar 12-10, 11-5, 11-6 to give a winning start to his side. Though Gomantak lost the next tie when Shirshir Juvekar lost to Jay Jani 12-14,9-11, 6-11. Abhishek Kori, however, restrored the lead for the Gomantak side by getting the better of Nilesh K.11-6, 9-11, 8-11, 11-9, 11-7. But Bhavitvya left no one in doubt about the outcome as he virtually thrashed Jay Jani 11-5, 11-7, 11-7 to clinch the tie and the second divison honours.
