Bandra Gymkhana produced a collective all-round performances and stormed to a thumping 146 run win against Adarsh Cricket Club in Group-A quarter-final match of the Dr H.D. Kanga Knockout cricket tournament 2023, and played at the Bharat CC ground, Dadar.
Deciding to bat first Bandra Gymkhana amassed a challenging total of 239 for the loss of 7 wickets from the stipulated 45 overs. Bandra Gymkhana batters Mehul Gokani smashed 84 runs, Rahul Singh also slammed a half ton 51 runs and Shivam Rai added 46 runs to swell their innings.
Later, Bandra Gymkhana bowlers Parag Patil 5 wickets for 16 runs and Vishal Shinde 3 wickets for 19 runs destroyed the Adarsh CC batting and dismissed them for a paltry 93 runs in 23.5 overs to clinch a huge win.
In another last eight encounter, Young Star’s Akton CC, Vasai defeated Mulund Challengers by a comfortable 99 runs to join Bandra Gymkhana in the semi-finals.
