Ave Maria Sports Club in grand fashion rallied to force an exciting 7-7 draw with Bombay Republicans in a fast-paced Senior Division match of the MHAL (Mumbai Hockey Association Limited) League – 2015 and played at the MHAL Stadium, Churchgate.
Republicans started with a flourish and quickly raced to a 4-0 lead but Ave Maria put up a good fight to stay in the match before snatching a honorable draw.
For Republicans the goal-scorers were Amin Rogay (2 goals), Suraj Shahi (2), Mohit Kathoute, Reyaz Qureshi and Dollar K., all one each while Ave Maria goals came through Kallu Ali who scored 3 goals and one each from Rajiv Bishnoi, Paramveer Singh, Naresh Chika and Sujit Tiwari.
