Riding on the brilliance of Ashton Dias who scored two second half goals, Sunday Boys recorded a hard-fought 2-1 win against Carmelites FC in a First Division match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 and played at the St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel on Saturday.
Carmelites took the lead through Jonathan Pinto in the 31st minute to take a 1-0 first half lead. But Sunday Boys turned things around in the second half with Ashton scoring the first in the 65th minute and added the second in the 73rd minute.
Earlier in a Div-II match, Colaba Sports League overcame GKW Rangers ‘B’ 1-0. Gaurav Shinde netted the lone winning goal.
