MDFA football (Elite Div):
Striker Ashrafalli Makandar scored once in each to steer Kenkre FC to a fluent 2-0 win against a young Iron Born – CFCI in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2019-2020 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Friday.
Makandar broke the deadlock with the opening goal in the 44th minute and once again was on target with the second in the 85th minute to complete Kankre’s victory.
Earlier, opportunistic goal-scorer Sanket Humbe scored all the four goals as Feugo Tormento blanked Bharat FC 4-0 in a Second Division match played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel.
