Arav,Tanishka adjudged best in SASA athletes


 

Arav Sidhwani, from American School of Bombay (Bandra)  and Tanishka Krishnan, from JBCN  International were adjudged the best athletes in the inaugural SASA (Schools Association for Sports and Athletics) Track and Field Championships  at Somaiya schools ground at |Ghatkopar (East) today.

Arav (boys under-16), who   aggregated 21 points, bagged gold in the 100m, 200m, 800m and a bronze in the shot put, to pip Prithvi Bhatt (boys under-12) , from Bombay Cambridge International by a solitary point for the overall individual honours.

 

Tanishka (under-12) aggregated 18 points with gold in 100m , long jump and shot put and  silver in the 200m. While Vittada Badgeri (under-16), with golds in 100m, 200m  and 400m came second best.

 

JBCN International School athletes – both boys and girls in different age groups –  aggregated 118 points to win the overall championships.

 

Individual winners in various age groups:

 

BOYS:  U-16 : Arav Sidwani (American School,  Bandra)- 21 pts  ( Gold in 100m, 200m, 800m; bronze-shot put). U-14: Aryan Mishra (RBK. Int.)- 8 pts (G-400m; S- 100m). U-12: Prithvi Bhatt ( Bombay Cambridge Int)- 20 pts (G- 100m. , 200m,  long jump, shot put). U-10: Jehan Maloo (RBK Int.) – 16 pts. (G- 50m,  100m, S-Javelin throw , long jump). U-8: Krishay Shah (JBCN) and Samarth Rai (RBK  int.) – 8 pts each. ( 1G + 1S).

 

GIRLS  U-16 : Vittada Badgeri (JBCN Int. ) – 15 pts. ( G- 100m, 200m, 400m.).

 

U-14: Aaira Agarwal (JBCN Int,) – 11 pts (G- long jump; S- 100m, 200m ). U-12: Tanishka Krishnan, (JBCN  Int) .- 18 pts  (Gold in 100m , long jump and shot put and  silver in 200m.). U-10: Ayaana Agarwal (JBCN Lnt) – 15 pts (G- 100m. , 200m,  long jump, shot put). U-8: Khiah Jain (Don Bosco Int)- 10 pts. (2 G- 50m, 100m)
