The Giri brothers, Anuj and Aditya were the architect in MCC (Yellow)’s 36 runs win over former champions MCC (Red) in the MCC Pro-40 double-leg League, organized by Jwala Sports Foundation at Oval Maidan here yesterday.
Batting first, MCC (Yellow) were bowled out for 166, but the Giri brothers brought their side back into the game as the “Red” were restricted to 136 before they were all out with Anuj capturing four wickets for 20 runs off 8overs while mediumpacer Aditya and Nishant Trivedi returning with two wickets apiece. For “Red” , Sagar Sethi top scored with 54.
In the other tie played at the adjacent plot, MCC (Green),defeated ”Blue”by 6 wickets.The highlight of their win was the unbeaten 66 by Nitin Vishwakarma, who batted with caution and aggression to take his side past “Blue”s total of 128.
