Anjuman-I-Islam College produced some fine all-round performances to defeat Podar International College by eight wickets in a second round match of the 8th Late Saqib Rizvi Memorial Inter-Collegiate Rotating Trophy Cricket Tournament, organised by the Junior College’s Sports Association of Mumbai, under the auspices of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) and sponsored by the Rizvi Education Society.
Electing to field first, Anjuman College dismissed Podar College for a low total of 181 in 34 overs. Dishant Dedhire was the only Podar batsman who stayed long in the middle to score a half century knock of 52 runs. Pushkar Kadam (3 for 11) and Amin K. (3 for 40) were Anjuman’s main strike bowlers who did the damage.
In reply, Anjuman-I-Islam comfortably chased their target reaching 185 for 2 wickets in 22 overs. Soham Dhamale top-scored with 64 runs and Amin K. made a equally decent contribution with another half century effort of 56 runs.
In a low scoring match, Thakur College charged to nine-wicket victory against Sailee College, who fared badly with bat and ball. Put in to bat first, Sailee College were bundled out for measly 40 runs. Thakur College bowlers Ryan Thomas (4 for 10) and Vidut Pilankar (3 for 6) were responsible in getting the wickets. Thakur College lost just one wickets as they easily scored the 41 runs required for their victory.

Sailee College 40 all out (Ryan Thomas 4/10, Vidut Pilankar 3/6) lost to Thakur College 41 for 1 wicket. Results: Thakur won by 9 wickets.
H.R. College 76 all out (Shahbaz Qureshi 4/26) lost to Bunts College 80 for 1 wicket (Siddharh Jadhav 52 not out). Result: Bunts College won by 9 wickets.
