ANIL MAHESH. a former state badminton player and administrator, has been elected as president of the Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana at its AGM held last week. Mahesh, who earlier headed JVPG a decade ago, hopes to bring back the sporting culture of one of the premier clubs back on track, especially in sports like badminton, table tennis, snooker-billiards and swimming. This will once again get a fillip in the suburban sporting activities after a long time.
Mr Mahesh, who has been associated with badminton activities, both at state and national level at various levels , said after being elected unanimously that he hopes to re-start these indoor sports activities back like earlier days prior to Covid 19 crisis.
Other office-bearers elected are: Vijay Mehta (Vice-president), Kirit Mehta (Hon. Secretary), Jinesh Chokshi (Hon. Jt Secretaty) and Satish Shah (Hon. Treasurer).
