All-rounder Bhushan Sanghvi’s brilliant performances 4 for 25 and an unbeaten 56 runs was the highlight of hosts Oriental Insurance Company CC’s fluent 6-wicket victory against HPCL in a third round league match of the 14th Insurance Shield T20 cricket tournament, organized by Oriental Insurance Company and played at Cross Maidan.
Deciding to bat first, HPCL were restricted to 169 all out from their quota of 20 overs. Sanghavi was responsible for destroying the HPCL innings. Top-order batsmen Indrajeet Shinde lifted the HPCL innings with both scoring half century efforts of 50 runs each, while opener Naman Jhawar chipped in with 26 runs while Aniket Singh contributed 25 runs. Sanghvi received good support from Meet Patel who claimed 2 wickets for 28 runs.
Oriental Insurance easily chased down the winning runs making 173 for 4 wickets from 17.5 overs. Middle-order bats Sanghvi unbeaten 56 runs and Atharva Ghosalkar unbeaten 45 runs put together an unbeaten 122-runs partnership for the fifth wicket to ensure Oriental Insurance comfortably crossed the finish line with plenty to spare. Aman Verma scored 24 runs while Ashish Mishra picked 2 wickets for 36 runs.
