MUMBAI: A fine all round show by Rohan Sadarjoshi, featured in Santacruz Crackers’ huge 147 runs victory over Mulund Master Blasters in pool B tie of the 8-team SAI-Mumbai Masters T-20 League, powered by Paradigm Reality, at the Police Gymkhana’s floodlit ground here last night.
Rohan’s unbeaten 93 with 14 fours and four sixes saw Santacruz Crackers hitting up 235 for three. Apart from Rohan’s knock, Milind Darekar (46) and Mehul Kamat (36) too boosted their side’s total. In reply, the Mulund Blasters failed to blast off and were dismissed for 86 runs in 14.5 overs. Rohan captured two wickets for 17 runs to earn the man-of-the-match award.
In the other tie, Ajoy Singh (65) cracked seven fours and four sixes and spinner Sandeep Shinde (3/10) steered Worli Pitch Smashers to a 5-wicket win over Chembur Strikers in pool A. With this win, the Worli outfit are at the top of table in pool A with three wins in four outings.
Chasing Chembur Strikers total of 132 for seven, the Worli Smashers lost their openers early, but then Ajoy and Ketan Chaudhari put on 53 runs for the third wicket before Ketan fell. However Ajoy got useful support from Rohan D’Souza (30) as the pair took them just three runs away from victory before both fell, in quick succession.
