All India Central Revenue Sports Meet in Mumbai from Feb 15


Mumbai will be hosting the 49th All India Central Revenue Sports Meet at various venues in the city. Top sportspersons from Central Excise and Revenue Departments from all over India will be seen participating in 16 sporting disciplines from February 15 to 17.

 

The athletes will compete in games like, athletics, swimming, bodybuilding, badminton, cricket, football, volleyball and basketball to name a few.

 

The events will be played at multiple venues – SAI, Kandivali for athletics, Cooperage ground for football, Indoor games will be conducted at the Goregaon Sports Club and cricket will be conducted at the Mumbai Cricket Association grounds.

 

Over 1000 sportspersons representing the four zones that have qualified from the sub-zonal competitions will assemble in Mumbai to take part in the events.

 

Some of the prominent athletes that are expected to be seen in action include, sprinter Krishna Kumar Rane (100m), Pradeep Chauhan (basketball and netball) represented India, Abhishek Kelar (FIDE title: International Master 2015 & world rank 2647, national rank India 81) and Archana Adhav (bronze at Asia Junior Championship 2014).

 

The Organizing committee comprises of S.C. Varshney (Convenor Of the tournament). S.R. Prasad (President of the Organizing Committee, Suresh Kishnani (FOUNDERS DAY PRESIDENT) and Santosh Shetty (Organizing Secretary ).
