Maharashtra lads made a bright winning start defeating Andhra Pradesh by a solitary second half goal in the opening fixture of the AIFF National Football Championship (Boys’ Under-17) for the B.C. Roy Trophy and played at the Railway Institute ground in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh on Monday.
Super sub, Alistair Anthony who replaced Ishan Dey in the second half, scored the all-important goal in the 63rd minute to help Maharashtra secure a win a collect the full three points.
