Bandra Gym rink hockey release
Former champions Air India and Mumbai Customs are the star attractions and have been seeded directly into the quarter-final round of the men’s event of the Bandra Gymkhana Open Rink Hockey Tournament, which is scheduled to commence at the Gymkhana’s floodlit tennis courts from Tuesday, May 17.
A total of 14 teams, including Air India and Customs, will be fighting for top honours in the men’s category and eight teams are participating in the women’s event.
Last year’s champions, Union Bank of India are not participating as they will be playing in another tournament outside Mumbai.
A couple of international and national players will be seen in action during the tournament, which will be played on a knockout basis and both the men’s and women finals is scheduled for Saturday, May 21.
