Air India hold edge in final

Defending champions Air India would hold a psychological advantage when they cross swords with ONGC (Oil & Natural Gas Corporation) in the concluding match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 and to be played at the Cooperage ground on Tuesday. The outcome of this encounter, will decide the Elite Division champions. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 4.00pm.

The oft-crowned champions Air India have been in tremendous winning form and have won all their 10 games in the 12-team competition and are currently in the first position with 30 points and only a draw would suffice for them to retain their crown.

Other the other hand, ONGC dropped two valuable points when they were held by Western Railway in the earlier rounds and now has 28 points. They now require a win at all cost to dethrone Air India from the top perch and clinch the top honours.

The coaches of both the clubs are keen to play positive football and play for nothing less than a win as such the concluding league match promises to throw up a lot of thrills and would be an exciting contest.
