Former champions MCC (Red), languishing in the middle this year, have struck a purple patch at last as they beat MCC (White) by eight wickets to be back in contention for the top honours in the MCC Pro-40 Elite League , organized by Jwala Sport Foundation, at Oval Maidan, here yesterday.
With Aaqib Ali in irresistible form, hammering unbeaten 99 off 53 balls, “Red” were home for the loss of just two wickets. Earlier, MCC (White), put into bat, did well to hit up 184/9 in the allotted 40 overs with Siddhant Honrao top- scoring with 54. He was ably assisted by Aaryan Lahane (36). While Dev (4/11) and Harshal (3/44) shared the bowling honours.
