Spearheaded by India junior No 1 Shriyanshi Pardeshi ,Madhya Pradesh proved their all round strength as they defeated hosts Maharashtra 3-2 to bag the junior team title in the West Zone inter-state badminton championships, organized by BOR (Badminton Organisation of Raigadh) and hosted by DY Patil Sports Academy at their Stadium’s badminton hall, at Nerul , here today.

In fact, Shriyanshi was their star performer, – both in the semifinals as well in the final, winning the girls singles and doubles as well as playing a pivot role in the decisive mixed doubles tie. The India No1 junior proved streets ahead of her rivals, as she demolished one after another them in straight games.
