Riding on prolific scorer Russell Galbano’s twin strikes, Kolovery Welfare Association (KWA) ‘B’ team managed to snatch a close 2-1 win over Kalina United in a well-contested sixth round league encounter of the 15th Kalina Football League -2015, organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Church Sports Committee, and played at the St. Mary’s High School ground, Kalina. Monish D’Souza netted Kalina United’s lone goal.
However, their senior team, KWA ‘A’ were not successful as they suffered a 0-2 defeat against Kalina Village Boys (KVB) ‘B’ in another league match. Kyle John and Lionel Fernandes were on target for KVB.
In another match, Kalina Village Boys (KVB) ‘A’ also enjoyed a good outing as they blanked Egyptian Boys by a 2-0 margin with Eric Dowling and Dan Dias netting a goal each.
