Silver Innings put up a good fight and managed to snatch a close 2-1 win against Khalsa Gymkhana in a Second Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League – 2014-15, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Wednesday evening.
Strikers Deepak Pal and Rohan Singh struck a goal each for the victors while Asif Khan netted the lone goal for the losing side.
Later in a First Division match, Mumbai Port Trust and Mumbai Warriors Under-19 shared the spoils as they played out a 1-1 draw. Pritesh Naik was on target for Port Trust and Deepak Apte scored for the young Warriors.
