Catholic Gymkhana struck prime form and stormed to an emphatic 5-0 win against G.K.W. Rangers in a Second Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League – 2014-15, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Tuesday.
Showing excellent team work Catholic Gymkhana completely dominated the match scoring four goals in the very first half. John Fernandes and Terrence Pereira both scored two goals each before skipper Gavin Fernandes converted a penalty in the second half to complete the winning tally.
In another match, Our Lady of Fatima got the better of Tarun Sporting by a 4-2 margin. Striker Viraj Kamble struck a brace while Rohit Awasti and Ransom Dantis got one each for the victors while Tabish Mulla scored both the goals for the losers.
