Nandu Natekar State Badminton Championship 2024
Jidnyasa Chaudhari and Arpita Ardey, both from Pune District recorded hard-fought victories in women’s singles first round matches of the Yonex Sunrise Shri Nandu Natekar Memorial Maharashtra State Senior Inter District (Team) and State Badminton Championship2024, conducted under the auspices of Maharashtra Badminton Association (MBA) and Badminton Association for Mumbai Upanagar (BAMU) and played at the Goregaon Sports Club on Monday.
Greater Mumbai’s Naishaa Bhatoye easily defeated Manasvi Vaidya (Thane) in straight games at 21-5, and 21-9.
Displaying tremendous fighting qualities Chaudhari after losing the first game bounced back to win the next two to overcome Samprati Pathrabe (Raigad) 18-21, 21-9, and 21-10 to advance to the second round.
Ardey also produced a solid fighting performance to overcome Shruti Shankargouda (Sangli) 21-17, 16-21, and 21-16 in another first round encounter.
Greater Mumbai’s Naishaa Bhatoye enjoyed smooth sailing as he easily defeated Manasvi Vaidya (Thane) in straight games winning at 21-5, and 21-9.
