Agastya Kashikar’s superb all-round performances was the highlight of Mumbai Cricket Club’s massive 190-run victory against Jwala Sports Foundation in the two-day first round league match of the third MCC Talent Search boys’ under-14 cricket tournament organized by Jwala Sports Foundation and MCC and played at Oval Maidan. The all-rounder claimed four wickets in the match and scored 77 runs.
Choosing to bat, Jwala Sports batsmen failed to put up a fight and were dismissed cheaply in both innings. Jwala Sports were dismissed for 56 in 21 overs in the first innings as Mumbai CC bowlers Utkarsh Upadhyay 4 for 15, Ziya Far 3 for 12 and Agastya Kashikar 2 for 9 destroyed the rival batting.
Mumbai CC in their first essay amassed a huge total of 329 for 9 wickets declared in 76.3 overs. Agastya Kashikar scored a patient 126-ball 77 runs, Aarav Thaker scored 75 runs from 111 balls and Dev S. added 40 runs to lift the total. Hardik Kumar 3/85 and Srivatsan K. 2 for 13 managed to pick the wickets.
Jwala Sports batting once again flopped in the second innings as they were bowled out for 83 runs in 19.5 overs. Utkarsh Upadhyay 3 for 13 and Agastya Kashikar 2 for 10 bagged the wickets.
