Bhosale Cricket Academy riding on the brilliance of all-rounder Tanish Shetty who scored a quick 57 runs and later picked up 4 wickets for 26 runs went on to snatch a narrow 2-run victory against Sanjeevani Cricket Academy in a boys’ under-15 league match of the third MCC Talent Search Cricket Tournament 2023-2024, organized by JSF (Jwala Sports Foundation) and played at the Sachivalaya ground, Oval Maidan.
Batting first Bhosale CA managed to amass a modest total of 142 all out in 33.4 overs. Bhosale CA leading run-getter was Tanish whose knock came from 50-ball and with seven boundaries. Indranil Nikam scored 28 runs while Sanjeevani CA bowlers Akshit Tambe 6 for 17 and Dhavet 3 for 11 got the wickets.
Later, Bhosale CA bowled well to dismiss Sanjeevani Cricket Academy for 140 in 31.3 overs. The pick of the bowlers was Tanish and he was well-supported by Indranil 2 for 46, Animesh Ghorpade 2 for 26 and Varad Phadtare 2 for 29 to restrict the Sanjeevani innings and clinch the win.
All-rounder Tanish Shetty for his excellent performances with both bat and ball won the ‘Plyer-of-the-match’ award.
