The second Maharashtra Masters’ Ranking Table Tennis tournament to be conducted by MMTTC in memory of TT legend K.K.Rai is all set begin on 19th August 2023 at the Kalidas Sports Complex, Mulund. Elaborate arrangements have been done at this wondeful venue by the BKLP and MMTTC authorities for the convenience of the veteran players. There will be events in 40+, 50+, 60+, 65+ ,70+ and 75+ in Men’s and Women’s singles besides team events for Men’s 39+ and Men’s 59+ and Women’s team event. Group league matches will be played in all the singles events at the qualifying stage. Many top players from Maharashtra who have won medals at the National and International Masters’ tournaments are participating in this tournament.
According to Samir Bhate, Hon. Secretary, Maharashtra Masters Table Tennis Committee( MMTTC), lot of facilities are being offered to the participants in this tournament. “There will be the largest playing area available for TT at the Kalidas Sports Complex to accommodate 15 tables. All the participants will be offered a Free T shirt besides Breakfast, Tea, Mini Lunch , evening tea & Snacks on Saturday 19th and Breakfast, Tea and Lunch on Sunday 29th August. In addition to this, trophies, medals and cash prizes will be given to the winners, runners ups, SF’s and QF’s”, said Samir.
Sanjay Mehta Jt. Secretary of MMTTC said that they are all prepared to make this tournament a grand success. “We have received good response for this tournament and the individual entries are expected to cross 225 by today evening. We are thankful to all the participants who are coming from different parts of Maharashtra and we welcome them all.” Another Jt. Secretary Mr. Tejas Naik made the latest announcement of allowing women particpants to play either in the Women’s team event or in the Men’s team event according to their age group, to experience better competition.

Dummy entries are allowed only if provision is made in that particular event, for which the last minute participants will have to pay double charges.
