India Rush, DFA score 1-0 wins


India Rush got the better of Young Guns FC ‘B’ by a solitary 1-0 margin in an interesting and tense Women’s Super Division match of the Mumbai Football Association (MFA) League 2022-2023 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Thursday evening.

The Young Guns outfit put up a dogged display against the experienced India Rush team and restricted to just one strike which came in the final moments of the match.

The fitter India Rush players after much probing finally broke the Young Guns’ resistance when striker Komal Kamble slotted home the crucial winning goal in the 86th minute to ensure her team walked away victorious and to collect the full three points.

Earlier, D’Souza Football Academy registered an identical 1-0 margin of victory against Rudra Football Academy to claim all the three points for this success. After both teams failed to score during the first session, D’Souza FA striker Kretina Dangma managed to score the all-important goal in the 58th minute which helped secure the win for her team.
