Shanol Jacinto and Pranesh Salunkhe struck a goal each in leading Regal FC to a fighting 2-1 win against Kalina Strikers in a Third Division play-off match of the Mumbai Football Association (MFA) League 2022-2023 and played at the Bombay YMCA ground, Mumbai Central on Tuesday morning. Kalina Strikers scored their lone goal through Jay Panarkar.
Meanwhile, Central Bank of India conceded late goals and were forced to play out a 1-1 draw with Century Rayon in an Elite Division match, played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Monday evening. Central Bank of India took the lead through Angeleen Masih’s strike in the 67th minute, but they were unable to hold on to that advantage as a determined Century Rayon scored the equalizer through Shubham M. in the 83rd minute.
In a First Division encounter, India Rush proved too good for FC Mumbaikars and charged to a fluent 3-0 victory. Strikers Ravi Rathod and Vedant Prabhu scored a goal each for India Rush while the third goal came courtesy FC Mumbaikars Sairaj Naidu who deflected the ball into his own goal.
