All round show by Rohit Singh (49 and 3/37) featured in B4S (Brain4Sport) Cricket Club upsetting former champions MCC (Red) by 29 runs to win the JSF-MCC Double-leg Pro-40 League final played at Oval Maidan here.
Opting to bat first, B4S CC did well to hit up 181 before they were all out in the 40th overs as Ayush Iyer top-scored with 49 and Rohit Singh made 48. The MCC (Red) bowlers Simant Dubey 3/30, Shaurya Pratap Bind 3/34 and Sahil Gaikwad 2/37 shared the spoils. Chasing 182 for win, the “Red” top order batters tried their best, but they fell short in the ended .
Earlier both the semifinals, proved to be one-sided affairs. B4S CC, thanks to fine knock of 73 by Harsh Patil, did well to hit up 187. But in reply, chasing 188, strong favourite MCC (Black) were bundled out for 75 with their trio of trundlers Yaseen Shaikh (3/15), Pamod Kumar (2/13) and Ankush Pasan ( 2/18) sharing the honours. While in the other semifinal, MCC (Red),after dismissing MCC (Yellow) for 104 made light of their chase and were home with nine wickets in hand.
