Former champions MCC (Red) after some indifferent start during the league phase, hit back with vengeance in the knock out stage to storm into the JSF-MCC Double-leg Pro-40 League final with a thumping table topper MCC (Y3ellow) by 9 wickets. In they will take on B4S Cricket Club, who defeated MCC (Black) by 112 runs in the other semifinals played at the adjcent plot at Oval Maidan here yesterday.
Both the semifinals , however, proved to be low key affairs. B4S CC, thanks to fine knock of 73 by Harsh Patil, did well to hit up 187.But in reply, they bundled out strong favourite MCC (Black) for 75 with their trio of trundlers Yaseen Shaikh (3/15), Pamod Kumar (2/13) and Ankush Pasan ( 2/18) sharing the spoils.
While in the other semfinal, MCC (Red),after dismissing MCC (Yellow) for 104 made light of their chase and were home with nine wickets in hand.
