TT Players of Prabodhankar Thackeray Kreeda Sankul( PTKS), Vile Parle put up a fine show in the TSTTA organised Inter Club Table Tennis League, which concluded at PTKS hall today evening.
In the Women’s section, PTKS teams won the 1st and 3rd division titles, scoring comfortable wins opposite Andheri YMCA and MIG Club respectively. However, they lost narrowly 2-3 against Jayesh Lakhani TT Academy in their 2nd division closely fought finals.
In the 1st division Women’s finals, PTKS girls Sana D’souza and Risha Mirchandani scored their singles and doubles impressive wins over Siya Hingorany and Mukta Dalvi . In their 2nd division match PTKS’ player Niva Chaughule put up a strong fight against JLTTA Girls, winning one match against Palak Jhavar and losing the other in a five game battle opposite Hiya Mehta, who won her both singles. She even managed to win the doubles along with Bhoomi Pitale oppsite Palak and Hiya.
The Division III finals of Women’s section was all Veteran players affair, as PTKS ‘B’ represented by Sunanda Rao, Sadiya Vanjara, Sivapriya Naik and Shravai Dhapare scored a 3-0 win against MIG Club represented by Neeta Kulkarni and Mythili Sodhi.
In the Men’s section , 1st Division and 2nd division finals PTKS players proved their supremacy once again, winning against JLTTA ‘A’ 3-1 and JLTTA ‘C’ 3-2 respectively. In the 1st Division fianls the well balanced combination of Dhruv Shah, Arnav Karnavar and Sharveya Samant proved very good with Dhruv putting up a star show, winning both his singles against Sagar kasture and Yash Dalvi. Their third singles was won by Arnav Karnavar.
However, PTKS ‘D’ team playing in the 2nd division really had a tough time against JLTTA ‘C’ team boys , withb crucial match won by Sagar Dhanu 3-2 against Nilesh Yedge. The other two matches for PTKS were won by Naveen Verghese and Maruti Kasture against Rishan Kanani. The efforts put in by JLTTA’s Santosh Kolapte by winning his two matches went in vain.
