A determined Dadar Union Sports Club put up a solid fighting performance and managed to overcome Islam Gymkhana recording a narrow 4-run win in a Group-B match of the MCA 2nd Under-19 Cricket Tournament organized by Bhama CC in association with Mumbai Cricket Club and played at the Islam Gymkhana ground.
Batting first Dadar Union were bowled out for 163 runs in 35 overs. Later, defending a low score Dadar Union bowlers Zaid Patankar 3 for 26, Ashley D’Souza 3 for 30 and Adit Deogaonkar 3 for 32 rose to the challenge and dismissed Islam Gymkhana for 159 runs in 33 overs to help their team snatch a tight win.
In another closely fought encounter, Parkophene Cricketers defeated Navroz Cricket Club by a close margin of just 11 runs. Batting first Parkophene Cricketers innings closed at 161 all out in 34.4 overs, but they came roaring back and restricted Navroz CC 150 for 8 wickets in 35 overs to clinch the win. Parkophene Cricketers bowlers Vedant Gadia 3 for 24, Rohit Yadav 2 for 14 and Vansh Akbari 2 for 39 ensured their success.
