Former champions MCC (Red) after having some topsy- turvy outings so far , came back into reckoning when they defeated MCC (Orange) by 32 runs in the 8-team MCC Double-Leg Pro-40 league, played at Oval Maidan here . Thus with today’s win, they now stand fourth in the league table. However, MCC (Black) with seven wins out of 10, are the toppers so far.
Batting first, “Red” did well to hit up 182 before they were all out. Amit Chauhan, the centurion in the earlier tie, batted again impressively as he top-scored with 57. However, chasing 183 to win, the “Orange” fell short by 32 runs as the pace and spin combinatdion of Simant Dubey (3/28), Abhishek Sangale (3/12) and , Siddhand Rai (3/15) shared the spoils.
