Waves FC blank Rudra Soccer Stars 3-0

Waves FC produced a solid dominant performance and blanked Rudra Soccer Stars 3-0 in the Second Division semi-final match of the Mumbai Football Association (MFA) and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra.

The highlight of Waves comfortable victory was Manish Koli who scored two goals one in each half to secure the win. Manish’s teammate Sunny Koli struck the third goal in the third minute of additional period to complete the winning margin.

In the second semi-final, South Mumbai United fought well to get the better of Youth Soccer Academy by a narrow 2-1 score line. Youth Soccer Academy rocked the Mumbai United citadel with striker Aryan Hukumchand hitting the target in the very fifth minute to give his team the lead.

However, the joy was short-lived as South Mumbai United immediately restored parity with Kailash Choudhary scoring the equalizer in the seventh minute. South Mumbai scored the winner when Ali Naqi added the second three minutes later. Thereafter, both teams tried to score another goal, but all their efforts went in vain and South Mumbai clinched the match in their favour.
